The Pennsylvania Postal History Society would like to invite you to join us for Rick Leiby’s presentation on “Freight Money”. That term describes covers carried on a non-contract vessel for a private fee. The Post Office became involved to increase their volume of business.
Rick is a former President of the PaPHS and former Editor of our journal, the Historian.
A native of the Jersey Shore, in 1967 Steve came to Philadelphia to teach Organic Chemistry at Temple and has lived here ever since. Collecting Portugal since childhood and exhibiting since 1980, seven different exhibits earned national grands and four international gold. A national and international (FIP) qualified judge, he’s served leadership positions in the APS and several other organizations, including most recently the PaPHS.

Bill and Jasmine conducted a presentation on the subject to our members on November 5, 2020. It was an excellent presentation and we really appreciated them sharing their knowledge and experience with us!

Jasmine provided numerous insightful tips for all stamp collectors. This portion was also about 20 +/- minutes.
