Advancing the Mission: Highlights from the PaPHS 2025 Annual Meeting

From Website Preview to Board Elections and a Year in Review

On June 21, 2025, members of the Pennsylvania Postal History Society (PaPHS) gathered for the Annual Meeting to reflect on the past year, elect new leadership, and chart the course ahead. In conjunction with SCOPEX, the annual stamp show and exhibition hosted by the Mount Nittany Philatelic Society in Bellefonte, PA. Meeting attendees included members attending the show as well as absentees via Zoom. There were two main orders of business: election of officers and an update on the society’s new website.

Website Preview

Meeting attendees had an opportunity to preview the new website designed for PaPHS. Developed with the Society’s mission and member experience in mind. The updated site emphasizes ease of use, accessibility, and engagement. Ushering Pennsylvania postal history into modern day.

This thoughtful redesign was led by Sarah Drucker of Discovering Legacy, whose strategic vision and member-centered approach brought the site to life. We encourage you to explore all that the new website has to offer. Including the new PaPHS blog!

Board Elections

There were two vacant seats for the Director of the Society. Tom Horn was elected to fill one, and the other remained vacant with a promise to find another member willing to serve. Several days later, John Howker came forward to fill the seat. Thanks, Tom and John! We look forward to seeing your impact on postal history. The Office of Secretary remains vacant. Please e-mail info@paphs.org if you are interested in the position.

Without further ado, here are the results from the Board Elections that took place on June 21, 2025:

  • President
    • Vince Costello
  • Treasurer
    • Richard Colberg
  • Office of Secretary
    • Remains Vacant
  • Director of the Society

PaPHS extends heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing Board for their dedication and service, wishing them the best of luck in their future endeavors. PaPHS looks forward to the coming year and the vision of the newly elected leadership.
