Mapping PaPHS’s Growing Postal History Community
Founded in 1974 by eleven passionate members in Pennsylvania, PaPHS has grown into a thriving national community of over 120 postal history enthusiasts. While many still call Pennsylvania home, our Society now proudly reaches 15 states and counting. A testament to the growing interest in preserving and exploring postal heritage.
With our interactive membership map, you can see just how far PaPHS has expanded. Highlighting the states where history lovers, collectors, and researchers have come together under our banner.
Take a moment to explore the map. See how PaPHS has expanded its community beyond Pennsylvania. Each pin represents a shared commitment to preserving and studying postal heritage. Whether you’re a longtime collector or a newbie to the world of postal history, PaPHS offers a welcoming community where knowledge, enthusiasm, and historical discoveries come together.
Through research, collection, and shared expertise, PaPHS members help uncover the stories behind postal artifacts, rare cancellations, historic routes, and the evolution of communication. Each contribution strengthens the Society’s mission to educate, preserve, and expand our understanding of postal history, ensuring these narratives remain accessible for future generations.
While the subject is Pennsylvania postal history, our members come from various states, as shown on the accompanying map. Pennsylvania residency is certainly not a requirement for membership. So, come join us, wherever you live!

Help us keep sending letters of PaPHS nationwide, one member at a time.
Every new member brings fresh stories, perspectives, and shared enthusiasm for postal history. We’d love to welcome you if you’re not yet a member. And if you’re already part of the community, consider inviting someone who shares your curiosity and passion. Together, we can keep promoting postal history and maybe even reach all 50 states along the way.
